Our Philosophy
A Thought Experiment
Imagine living in a country run by a “good” dictator—someone who always makes the right decisions with the people’s best interests in mind. Would you consider that a good government?
Most of us would say “no” for a couple reasons.
First, it’s hard to believe that one person could have all the knowledge needed to make the right choices for everyone.
Second, and just as important, we’d feel uneasy about having no real voice in the decisions that affect our lives.
In the end, just decisions aren’t just about getting the right results. They’re also about how those decisions are made—and whether everyone has a chance to be heard.
